Lady Gaga: Bad Romance

The scene from Bad Romance which we found inspiring and intriguing was this series of shots: where Lady GaGa is under a shower, the lighting making her back look monster-like. We liked this shot because it shows the depressed side of the all the glitz and the glamour the rest of the video is showing at the same time. The shots flicker between the shower and her dancing in sparkly outfit.

This is similar to our video as we switch between the depressed side of our character and our fake, manic side. However, we used the opposite lighting to these screenshots; our depressed side had better lighting, so it was easier to see her face and make her seem more innocent and scared.

For the manic side we used darker lighting, almost a spot light effect to make her the focus of the shot; the white light we used provides a more natural light than normal torches and lights.
