Digipak Creation
In creating our Digipak we used Photoshop.
First we created the background for our digipak, choosing to show our digipak at all angles. We have done the:
- front cover
- back cover
- spine
- four inlays
We also decided to show the back and front with the spine down the centre to show the spine's design.
To create the background, I selected half of the background, copied it into a new layer. This allows you to edit the two halves separately as they both have an individual layer. It also makes it easier to colour one half black.
We also ensured each panel would be the same size by making them the average CD case size of 14 cm x 12cm. The spine is also standard 0.7 cm.
We sorted through the images from the photoshoot, choosing the ones we felt would fit our digipak best.
Once they were sorted we had to remove the background of the whiteboard in all our photos. We did this by quick selecting around our artist and creating a copied layer with just her. We then copied this layer onto the already made background.
